Phosphate PR122 pigment dispersion
AIC-Magenta Red HC-1102B is a Phosphate Series self-dispersed aqueous PR122 pigment dispersion with 15 wt% pigment solids. It provides the magenta colourant component for water-based inkjet formulations.
GRADE OVERVIEW
Use HC-1102B when evaluating a phosphate-functional PR122 route for the magenta channel. Review colour development with the cyan, yellow and black selected for the same ink system, so that single-colour results can be related to the intended CMYK set.
TECHNICAL PROFILE
Published product-level targets are listed below. The original particle-size report follows as a separate sample result.
| Property | Value or target |
|---|---|
| Nominal pigment solids | 15 wt% |
| Particle size D50 | ≤150 nm |
| Viscosity | ≤3 mPa·s |
| Electrical conductivity | ≤2,000 µS/cm |
| Surface tension | 40–80 mN/m |
| pH | 7.5–9.5 |
| Accelerated aging | 60 °C for 7 days |
| Surface tension, viscosity and conductivity changes after aging | ≤10% each |

SUPPLIED PARTICLE-SIZE REPORT
The model-specific report records the following percentile diameters, converted from micrometres to nanometres.
These percentile diameters describe the supplied report example. Use the measurement basis and current batch COA when agreeing acceptance criteria for your formulation.

FORMULATION & GRADE SELECTION
Prepare a drawdown or print trial on the intended substrate and compare the magenta tone and density with the agreed colour target. Record ink laydown, drying conditions and the binder system used.
The published evaluation routes are DTG, roll-to-roll textile, corrugated digital printing and latex ink. Combine colour evaluation with viscosity, conductivity, pH, surface tension, filtration and storage checks in the complete ink.
HC-1102B and AIC-Magenta Red 1015 both use PR122 at 15 wt% nominal pigment solids. Their published surface-chemistry platforms differ: Phosphate for HC-1102B and Carboxylic for 1015. Evaluate each with the intended ink vehicle before selecting a grade.
