TECHNICAL RESOURCES
Guides for water-based self-dispersed inkjet pigment dispersions.
AIC technical guides for the high-performance self-dispersed inkjet colorant platform—from surface modification and nano-scale particle control to stable aqueous ink formulation.
01 / SURFACE MODIFICATION
Carboxylic and phosphate grafted technology.
Self-dispersed pigment technology uses hydrophilic functional groups on the pigment surface to support dispersion in aqueous systems. Carboxylic and phosphate platforms give ink makers distinct routes to colour strength, stability, resin compatibility and demanding print performance. Select the AIC grade that matches your application brief.
02 / PARTICLE SIZE CONTROL
Particle size and dispersion stability belong together.
Particle-size distribution affects colour development, viscosity, storage behaviour, circulation and printhead suitability. A useful evaluation records the selected grade, resin and humectant package, pH, filtration route, storage conditions and the relevant jetting observations.
03 / INKJET EVALUATION
Plan the fastest route to the right AIC grade.
- 01
Define the process
State DTF, DTG, R2R textile, packaging, graphics or industrial inkjet use; identify substrate and printhead.
- 02
Set the measurements
Agree the relevant particle-size, viscosity, conductivity, surface tension, pH, storage and print tests.
- 03
Confirm in the full ink
Use current technical information and actual formulation trials before production decisions.
04 / QUALITY DOCUMENTATION
Request the AIC documents that move your project forward.
TDS, SDS, COA and applicable compliance information should be confirmed before a purchase, formulation release or regulatory decision. Certificates and compliance claims will be added here only after their current status and supporting files are supplied.
