PV19 Carboxylic self-dispersed pigment dispersion.
A 15 wt% aqueous PV19 colourant on the Carboxylic platform, developed for ink makers evaluating magenta-pink pigment dispersions in water-based inkjet formulations.
GRADE OVERVIEW
K6B gives formulators a PV19 option alongside the PR122 grades in the AIC catalogue. Compare colour development in the intended ink vehicle and on the intended substrate; the pigment identity alone does not establish the finished ink's colour, fastness or printing behaviour.
For a comparison within PV19, review K6B with AIC-Magenta Pink HC-S6B. Both have a declared nominal pigment content of 15 wt%; K6B uses Carboxylic surface chemistry and HC-S6B uses the Phosphate platform. Select between them through formulation trials with the chosen binder and additives.
TECHNICAL PROFILE
The current product TDS lists the following technical targets. Read these alongside the report example below and the COA for the batch supplied.
| Property | Published TDS target |
|---|---|
| Particle size D50 | ≤150 nm |
| Viscosity | ≤3 mPa·s |
| Electrical conductivity | ≤2,000 µS/cm |
| Surface tension | 40–80 mN/m |
| pH | 7.5–9.5 |
| Accelerated aging | 60 °C for 7 days |
| Surface tension / viscosity / conductivity change after aging | ≤10% for each property |
The table gives product-level targets; the report below gives sample results. Refer to the current TDS for measurement conditions and method references, and request the applicable batch COA for your trial.
SUPPLIED PARTICLE-SIZE REPORT
The supplied model-specific report records the following percentile diameters, converted from micrometres to nanometres.
These results describe the supplied report example. Use comparable instrument settings, distribution basis and sample preparation when reviewing different grades or batches.

FORMULATION TRIAL
The published evaluation routes include DTF, DTG, GTF, desktop pigment ink and corrugated digital printing. Prepare a drawdown or print trial against your agreed colour target. Keep pigment loading, substrate and drying conditions recorded so that a comparison with PR122 or another PV19 grade is meaningful.
Then review filtration, circulation and storage in the finished formulation. Where textile printing is intended, assess the complete ink, binder and curing process for the required washing and rubbing performance. The dispersion's particle-size report is one part of that evaluation; it does not establish printhead or finished-print suitability by itself.
